Avito says starts buying smartphones from individual sellers

MOSCOW, Oct 5 (PRIME) -- Russian classifieds service Avito has started buying smartphones from individual sellers to make the sale of goods easier and safer, the company said on Wednesday.

“With its help, the users will be able to quickly and safely sell their smartphone to an Avito partner without making an effort to communicate with potential buyers and sell a device on their own,” Avito said.

After a user publishes an advertisement about the sale of a smartphone, Avito sends an offer of purchase.

In September, smartphone sales on Avito jumped by 35% on the year.
